10-11 April Maggiora Park Circuit - Maggiora (NO)
The first round of the Italian Motocross Prestige Championship took place on Sunday 11 April.
The team presented itself for the 2021 season with two riders Gianluca Deghi and Samuele Ghetti both in the MX1 Fast category.
After Saturday's day dedicated to qualifying tests where both Ghetti and Deghi came close to qualifying in group A, on Sunday the rain gave us no respite making the track a sea of mud.
Ghetti led two excellent heats with an 8th place overall, considering the two recent convalescents, fractured collarbone and Covid, he defended himself well and gritted his teeth he finished the races.
Deghi after a disastrous first heat conditioned by a fall at the start, in the second he managed to realize the speed that distinguishes him, finishing the first lap in 20th position climbing up the standings up to the checkered flag in 6th position. He still needs to fit a bike with a completely different ride to the 450 than a 250 or 2T.
We are confident for the future and we hope to be present for the next race in Mantua on April 25th in group A.
