# 3 VITERBO English Version

ROUND # 3
06 June Viterbo International Circuit - VITERBO (VT)

For the occasion, our pilot of the premier class Gioele Filippetti returned after his wrist injury and fracture of the head of the Radio, in addition to his debut with BRT a welcome New Entry in the under 24 category - S3, the young Ligurian driver Matteo Frassino , in addition to the support given to the S2 category driver Mazzolai Fabio.

Gioele's weekend was a succession of emotions, the tests valid for the starting grid saw a slight emotional tension in the pilot due to the return after more than six months of stop from international races. In the race, Gioele unlocked and showed his speed despite only getting back on the bike the week before.
With an excellent third place in race 1 Gioele showed up for race 2 more energized than ever, aware that he did not have all the minutes in his body to be able to lead the race smoothly until the end, at the start he jumped like lightning, placing himself in a provisional third position. Due to the expected physical decline in the last two laps he had to give way to a comeback Diego Monticelli. After crossing the finish line in fourth place, Filippetti managed to get on the third step of the podium based on the classification of the two heats, a very satisfactory result given the lack of practice and testing.

Also for Matteo Frassino it was a succession of emotions, the boy demonstrates a strong ability to learn and a determination that few have.
Once the bike was arranged in the best possible way given the limited time available, Matteo at each entrance was able to lower his previously detached times with a disconcerting ease.
This succession of rapid events made him lose control of the bike several times during the first heat where he still managed to set the fastest lap in the race.
The second heat, treasured from the previous one, for Frassino was run under the banner of preserving the precious provisional position obtained thanks to an amazing start.
This allowed Matteo to get on the third step of the podium and to maintain the leadership of the Italian Under24 Championship.

As for Fabio Mazzolai, the apprenticeship period continues in the difficult S2, speed is not lacking in the asphalted part, we still need some experience and speed in the dirt section. We will certainly see him in better positions along the way.
