7 August Viterbo International Circuit - Viterbo (VT)
The Viterbo race for the team riders was full of satisfactions thanks to the results achieved but a serious injury suffered by our Diego Monticelli dropped a dark veil on a day that could have been perfect.
The competitions took place alternately between the scorching sun and flashes of rain.
Excellent second place both in the classic Italian S1 championship and as regards the Internazionali d'Italia for Gioele Filippetti.
A great podium in the hard-fought S2 for Fabio Mazzolai and a second place for Matteo Frassino in the S3 - under 24.
He made his debut with the colors of the Michele Ferrari team in the S3, Michele has begun a path of improvement that has already manifested itself in Viterbo.
For the record, we would like to point out that Diego Monticelli during the first heat, due to a crash by Marc Schmitd who preceded him, hit his bike violently. The contact caused an unsaddling from Diego's saddle making him fly for a few meters. The impact with the ground for our Diego was devastating, three displaced fractures to the femur that will keep him away from the races for a long time.
Now Diego is in the hospital awaiting surgery, the team is all with him and we wish him a very strong good luck for a good and quick recovery. Come on Diego.
