A RED WING IN THE MIDDLE OF A BLUE TIDE

ROUND # 4
11 July Pomposa Circuit - Lido di Pomposa (FE)

The fourth round of the Italian Supermoto Championship took place on the international circuit of Pomposa on Sunday 11 July. The team and its drivers, as always, prepared the race down to the smallest detail. Superlative the test of Gioele Filippetti in S1GP, after the tests with encouraging references, Gioele managed to qualify in the second row. Thanks to an excellent shot he immediately placed himself in a provisional fourth position thanks to a splendid overtaking against Diego Monticelli. Due to a contact between the two treads during the first lap, Gioele found himself leading the race in front of a large TM patrol led by Elia Sammartin and Thomas Chareyre.
Turning almost a second per lap faster than his rivals, Gioele saw his advantage increase to three seconds in just a few laps. Unfortunately, the great emotion of being so fast in front of the reigning world champion also played a bad joke, a long ride in the dirt made Filippetti lose his provisional leadership, making him pass the fifth and third finish line of the Italians.
The second heat confirmed the great speed achieved by Filippetti fighting with Elia Sammartin throughout the race with numerous overtaking attempts by Gioele. After an exemplary conduct, Filippetti finished third overall and second of the Italians third on the final podium.

Confirmed the great teamwork that in only two races, due to the injury suffered at the beginning of the year by Gioele, has shown incredible potential, our bike is the only one in the lot to fight the TM squadron of the L30 team. We are only at the beginning of a great story that could materialize in 2022.

Mazzolai confirmed his growth in S2 with a sixth place in the first heat and a thirteenth in the second heat due to a physical decline that made him retreat.

For Frassino we must highlight two alternating phases of race conduct, in the first heat, after having firmly positioned himself in second position behind Pontevicchi due to a drop in concentration, he ran into two crashes that made him fall to the bottom of the standings.
In the second heat a more prudent conduct allowed Matteo to finish second behind Pontevicchi, unfortunately the defaiance of the first heat made him lose the red plate of the Italian S3 championship leader.
Now a long break awaits us before the race in Latina during which we will increasingly refine the competitiveness of the vehicles and the harmony with the drivers.
